Jungle Library Records is an independent label and not-for-profit band co-operative based in Brisbane, Australia.  JLR produces and promotes a select number of emerging original, self-managed artists in Brisbane, with a focus on a progressive and slightly left-of-centre stylings. The group is comprised of core members who are participants in some (but not all) of the projects detailed on this website, pooling skills and resources in the belief that if we work together, we are all stronger.

At the heart of our operation is talented young audio technician, Kirk Harmer. Kirk donates countless hours of his time to record, produce and/or operate live sound for most JLR bands. With little-to-no funding and a variety of high-quality audio gear assembled from  personal collections and group investments, Kirk and the JLR team are creating recordings of the highest standard. The label's releases are currently distributed through MGM/Green, online and independent stores in all Australian capital cities.

Jungle Library Records is devoted to thoughtful original music, ethical business dealings, and the creation of a bigger, better music scene, locally and nationally.
